The fundamental clash in this novel is man versus himself. Caitlin battles to locate her actual self and study her religion. She settles on numerous decisions all through he novel that will affect her life until the end of time.      The struggle starts when Caitlin begins being increasingly audacious and begins going to gatherings and spending time with an inappropriate group that she believes are the cool children. She meets new individuals that aren’t her actual companions and aren’t great individuals. These individuals attempt to get her to do thing’s that she truly doesn’t need to do and she settles on the correct decision in saying â€Å"No.† She promptly goes into a room where she can’t be constrained and chooses not to spend time with those individuals any longer.
